Marriage rituals and ceremonies are necessary to get our attention, to get human attention. Nature has its own ceremonies and laws concerning marriage. Grow up--develop--and you need not follow ritual and ceremonies. Development precludes them. Become "angels" and rituals and ceremonies are no longer needed, but until then we need such things to get/catch our attention so that we realize/"wake to the importance/significance of" marriage.Keiko: I'm supposed to be getting married Data.
