"Luanda - Pope Benedict XVI issued a warning against witchcraft on Saturday during his visit to Angola, after calling on African leaders to battle corruption and drawing a tough line against abortion."

"Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man's eyes. He told him, "Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam" (Siloam means "sent"). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!"
Bible, NLT, John 9:6-7

Do not play around with words such as "witchcraft" or "wizard," etc. or you will fall into the clutches of reactionaries who peddle superstition and ignorance. Stick with "science," "nature," and "human development" and use the powers which humans display to further development and change for the better.

Organized religion has become a business used to gain power/control over the people. This is the simjple truth. Men and women like Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, Gandhi, Ann Lee, etc. may be called witches, wizards, divinites, prophets, etc. but in fact they are simply revolutionaries--comrades--who show us the way forward. On the other hand, you can easily recognize reactionaries. They don't come as comrades introducing you to new technologies, higher education, nationalized healthcare, trade union protection for workers, or show you how to protect your sovereignty. They come with their own brand of superstition and ignorance. They will not tell you to set up socialist people's republics and take charge of your own destiny. Instead they ask you to bend your knee and kiss their ring. The pope and others like the Dalai Lama come peddling organized religion; they undermine science and prosperity. Such religionists refuse to recognize human development, refuse to recognize that humans have changed and continue to change, refuse to see human powers, abilities. First take control of your countries, establish people's republics and then permit those who wish to worship their gods do so in a safe place away from the power of your states. Do not let religionists or wealthy ruling classes (the bourgeosie) run your countries for they will do their best to return you to slavery, oppression, ignorance and superstition.
